Ora - Transformations
On the eve of Sound Symposium XVI, to acclimate listeners to an innovative palette of sound, MUSICRAFT features Ora - a local new music collective that aims to build their audience by bringing new music to unusual venues such as downtown bars. From their concert called "Transformations" we'll hear music by Ann Southam, Haflidi Hallgrimsson and Jim Hiscott played by pianist, Krista Vincent, flautist, Michelle Chermay, violinist Heather Kao and cellist Vernon Regehr.

Musical champagne! Pianist Kristina Szutor describes Domenico Scarlatti's keyboard miniatures as musical bubbly. In her new CD "Apres Scarlatti" Kristina toasts Scarlatti's effervescent and pioneering spirit in a set of pieces written by contemporary composers that pay homage to the intrepid baroque innovator.
