Award-Winning Radio

Three more awards from the Radio and Television News Director's Assocation! Reporter Megan Thomas took the "Dave Rogers Award - Short Feature" for medium market radio stations in the central region(Ontario and Quebec) and now the same award at the national level for her piece Wayne's 99 audio (5:00).

Megan also won the "Dave Rogers Award - Long Feature" first, for medium market radio station in the central region(Ontario and Quebec), and also received the same award at the national level, for her piece The Mac. audio (8:32).

Reporter Allison Dempster won the "long feature" category for network radio. The national level award recognized Allison's work for her documentary What Remains. audio (17:48) which aired on CBC Radio's The Current last March. It told the story of an unsettling police investigation into a funeral home director in Mattawa.

Morning North was last year's winner of the regional and national Peter Gzowski Award from the Radio and Television News Director's Assocation for best news information program.
