Q: What are the QC residency requirements?

A: You must have lived in the province of Quebec for at least 6 months.


Q: Which genres of writing are not eligible?

A: Free verse, poetry, screenwriting and playwriting are not eligible. All submissions must be in the genre of fiction or creative non-fiction.


Q: Can I put my name on each page of my story?

A: No. Only the story's title and pagination can appear on the story's pages. Your name must only appear on the submission form.


Q: Is a personal cheque ok?

A: Yes.


Q: If I submit more than one story, do I have to submit more than one cheque?

A: Multiple entries can be paid for with one cheque ONLY IF all submissions and the cheque arrive under same cover. For example, if you are sending five submissions you can pay with one cheque ONLY IF you send all five entries and the cheque for $75 in the same package.

Entries sent under separate cover must each be accompanied by a cheque. 


Q: Who do I make the cheque out to?

A: CBC Radio


Q: Will I get notification that my story has been received?

A: No. Due to the large volume of applications received, we are not able to acknowledge the receipt of each submission. 


Q: Will I be notified when the jury has made its decision?

A: Again, due to the large volume of applications received, only the finalists and winners will be contacted following the jury's decision.
