The Quebec Writers' Federation plays a prominent role in the life of the Quebec English-language literary community as an arts presenter and professional and community educator, as well as the representative of Quebec's English-language writers (both professional and emerging). In order to promote and encourage English-language writing and writers in Quebec, QWF is involved in a wide range of activities, publications and programs, ensuring a lasting place for English literature and its practitioners on the Quebec cultural scene.

An award-winning Canadian magazine of arts, opinion and ideas, Maisonneuve has been described as a new New Yorker for a younger generation. Established in 2002, Maisonneuve's purpose is to keep its readers informed, alert, and entertained, and to dissolve borders between regions, countries, languages and genres. It does this by providing a diverse range of commentary on the arts, sciences, and society. At its core, Maisonneuve asks questions about our lives and provides answers free of cant and cool.
