Welcome to Doc Shop 6

New talent shines as the CBC and the NFB present the 6th edition of DOC SHOP.

Doc Shop is an in-depth documentary training program for English CEGEP and University students currently enrolled in media programs in Montreal and Ottawa.

Doc Shop invites students to submit proposals for four-minute documentaries on the theme of “something positive, uplifting or empowering in my community.” The successful candidates will benefit from a weekend of technical workshops at the NFB hosted by industry professionals. Doc Shop has two goals: it gives the CBC and the NFB an opportunity to discover young talent, and it offers an encouraging experience in documentary and broadcasting to students considering a future in film and video. All videos produced by Doc Shop are considered for broadcast on CBC Television.

Films from all 6 editions of Doc Shop are available for online viewing on the NFB website.
