Rethinking School

With schools set to reopen on Monday, with or without a deal for public school teachers, we thought it was a good time to look beyond the labour dispute to what is going on inside GTA classrooms. The CBC's Julia Pagel has put together a series called "Rethinking School", which looks at how our schools are adapting to long-standing challenges in education.

Part 1: The problem of boys, or more specifically, the problem many boys have, staying engaged in school.
Listen audio (runs 4:37)

Part 2: A program developed by the Rotman School of Management that tries to teach kids here in Toronto how to innovate their thinking skills.
Listen audio (runs 4:31)

Part 3: Dealing with mental illness in schools.
