Errol's Pick

Femi Abosede is a Nigerian-born musician who has been playing Afrobeat in Toronto for more than a decade. The music is a percussion and horn-heavy fusion of African rhythms, jazz, soul and funk and was pioneered by the political and controversial Nigerian legend Fela Kuti. Abosede and his band Culture Force perform at the Hot & Spicy Festival at Harbourfront Sunday night at 8 pm. This morning, our music columnist Errol Nazareth introduced us to the band and played selections from their CD, "No Compromise".
