Errol's Pick

Our music columnist, Errol Nazareth brought in "Elvis At Stax: Deluxe Edition", it is a 3-CD package featuring Elvis Presley's last studio sessions which were recorded at Stax, the legendary soul music studio in Memphis. Although it doesn't feature Elvis backed up by the famous house band at Stax that worked with artists like Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes and the Staple Singers, it does contain some excellent soul, gospel and rockabilly performances. Elvis fanatics will probably invest in the box set - which features 54 tracks and a 42-page booklet - but casual fans would do well to get the more affordable single CD that's titled Elvis At Stax.
