What's On: Art Battle Day and more
Whether you're into surreal art or portraits, you get a chance to see the process of creation during Art Battle Day. And that's just one things to check out this weekend in the city:

More than 250 artists will compete in same-day events in 20 Canadian communities for the chance to advance to the 2014 Art Battle National Championship. In each participating community, local organizers will host a 3-round live painting competition featuring 12 local professional and emerging artists. Audiences will vote to determine round winners and ultimately one individual event champion.

Toronto Flower Market

The Toronto Flower Market made its debut last spring, to the delight of the city's flower lovers. In its inaugural season, the market saw over 4,000 visitors come through, with many visitors returning multiple times throughout the spring/summer. The market returns tomorrow in a brand new location and with an extended season.

In Concert: Idan Raichel
Idan Raichel is an original--a keyboardist, composer and producer who made his name by turning Israeli popular music on its head. A captivating fusion of the traditional and the contemporary, The Idan Raichel Project draws on customs from various cultures, both celebrating and reimagining them. On his latest album, Quarter to Six, Raichel gathered together stellar artists from across the globe, including Portugal's Ana Moura, Mali's Vieux Farka Touré and Germany's Andreas Scholl.
