New Year's Eve Comedy Extravaganza

Kick start your New Year's Eve with some comedy. This year, the Comedy Extravaganza welcomes the award-winning actress and comedic icon Andrea Martin (SCTV/My Big Fat Greek Wedding) as its host. The evening will feature one of Canada's most familiar moderators, host of CBC Radio's satirical debate show, The Debaters, Steve Patterson.
In addition, a diverse line-up of entertainers including Ryan Belleville and Claire Brosseau will grace the stage.

Ring in 2012 with some new animal friends! Visit with some new and wild friends in the Indo-Malaya Pavilion and in the Tundra Trek. Don't miss some great entertainment including ABBAMANIA, The WotWots and Majinx Magic Show. Plus check out meet-and-greets with Shrek and of course some wild animals! The fun begins at 5:00 pm and runs until 8:00 pm when the zoo has its very own Kid's Countdown.

Family Animation Workshops and More

Animation workshops and screenings allow children ages 3-13 to explore the process of animation with their bare hands, and learn about the history of different techniques at the NFB. Each workshop offers a new theme, and the opportunity to create an original short film that they can keep!
