Rick Mercer Report

About the Show

  • ONLINE

RICK MERCER REPORT an original CBC production, returns this fall for season 14 of the award-winning program featuring Canada's number-one political satirist, Rick Mercer. Rick's weekly helping of topical satire, funny takes on the week's top news reports, plus stories from his cross-Canada travel itinerary, have made the show a perennial audience favourite.

Last season, audiences saw him fishing with Rick Hansen, hanging out with polar bear cubs, flying a vintage Lancaster bomber over Toronto, and marching in a Calgary band with Jann Arden. And that's just a small sampling of what he got up to. Rick will head out on the road again for many more adventures in the 2016-17 season.

A beloved trademark of the series is Rick's weekly rant where he expounds on anything that is on his mind. Also back are regular segments like the creative Photo Challenge, cheeky RMR parodies of TV commercials and political messages, and RMR's weekly target practice on newsmakers, The Front Page.
