Stefano Faita is the host of CBC Television's weekday cooking program In the Kitchen with Stefano Faita and one of North America's most charismatic food personalities.
Stefano is a life-long resident of Montreal's Little Italy where his family's renowned kitchen wares store, Quincaillerie Dante, opened in 1956. His family also operates the Mezza Luna Cooking School beside the store where people enjoy personalized cooking lessons from Stefano and his mother Elena (also a well known food personality in Quebec).
On In the Kitchen with Stefano Faita, Stefano inspires viewers with his passion for making food from scratch with fresh, simple ingredients. Stefano has written three best-selling cookbooks in French and recently released his first English cookbook, In the Kitchen with Stefano Faita, a companion to his CBC program which includes over 250 fan-favourite recipes from the first two seasons of the series. Stefano has hosted a personal food documentary series, Al Dante, for the French-language specialty network CASA and appeared as the resident food contributor on Kampaï, Radio-Canada's weekly health series. He also spent five years writing the food column for the weekend section of Le Journal de Montréal.
In 2013, Stefano opened his first restaurant in Montreal with his business partner, chef Michele Forgione. Impasto (which means "dough" in Italian) serves authentic Italian cuisine and opened to rave reviews.
Stefano currently lives in Montreal with his girlfriend, actress Isabelle Lemme, and their two daughters.
