Toronto-born actress Sarah Gadon is 26, but she's already a seasoned professional, and one of Canada's most promising young actors. She made her stage debut at the age of seven, playing a lamb in the National Ballet School of Canada's production of The Nutcracker. Her professional television debut came a few years later, when she made a guest appearance of the TV show Nikita at age eleven. Since then, she has worked steadily in both film and TV, both in Canada and internationally. She's played recurring characters on some of the most popular Canadian TV shows, including Being Erica, Murdoch Mysteries, and The Border. In 2011, iconic Canadian director David Cronenberg cast her opposite Keira Knightley and Michael Fassbender in A Dangerous Method, and that year she was officially named one of TIFF's Rising Stars. Since then, Sarah has followed up with roles in Mr. Cronenberg's Cosmopolis (2012) and Maps to The Stars (2014). This upcoming year will see the release of four films that feature Sarah: Denis Villeneuve's Enemy, Amma Asante's Belle, Marc Web's The Amazing Spiderman 2 and Gary Shore's Dracula Untold.
But Sarah doesn't just act in movies. Her passion for film has led her to pursue a degree in Cinema Studies at the University of Toronto where she is learning as much as she can about the art of cinema, storytelling and great directors.
