Karen LeBlanc is a multi-talented performer whose credits span film, television and stage.
LeBlanc's television credits include Shattered, Defying Gravity, ReGenesis (for which she was nominated for a 2008 Gemini Award for Best Actress), Runaway, This Is Wonderland, Playmakers, Trailer Park Boys, Saving Hope, The River, Battlestar Galactica, and Endgame among others. She also starred in the television movies Diverted, Wisegal, Crazy For Christmas,Knights Of South Bronx, More Than Meets The Eye: The Joan Brock Story, Chasing Cain: Face and Guilt By Association with Mercedes Ruehl.
On the big screen, LeBlanc appeared in the film Short For Nothing, the independent feature Make It Happen, Dolan's Cadillac with Christian Slater and Wes Bentley, and the Canadian Film Centre's Nurse.Fighter.Boy for which she won the 2008 Atlantic Film Festival Award for Best Actress, and was nominated for a 2009 Genie Award for Best Actress. She also recently appeared in the 2012 AMAA Award (Best Diaspora Feature) Nominated film High Chicago.
LeBlanc is also an accomplished singer and stage performer with credits including Lead roles in the Canadian Stage production of "Outrageous" and Mirvish Productions' "Rent." She has also entertained audiences around the world as 'Tina Turner' in Legends In Concert, which lead to her on screen portrayal of 'Young Tina Turner' in the series The Playboy Club.
