Jill first tried her hand at journalism in 2003 when she started a monthly newspaper in Saskatoon. She then interned at the Star Phoenix newspaper in 2006 before she moved on to the world of broadcast.
Jill graduated from the University of Regina with distinction in 2008. She overlapped her last week of school with training at the CBC. After interning at the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix she joined CBC and during that time has reported for television and radio, working behind the scenes on The Morning Edition, reading the news on radio.
Jill grew up on a sheep farm north of Melfort and although sheep farms are relatively rare in this province, she would be happy to help out fellow Saskatchewan sheep farmers during lambing season.
Jill has an energetic approach to life and holds great passion for her community. She loves to spend time with her son and is an avid runner.
