CBC brings all-new culinary competition RECIPE TO RICHES to its primetime
line-up on Feb. 26

Catch comedian Gerry Dee's hilarious hidden-camera special, GERRY DEE: THE SUBSTITUTE on February 24

On the heels of CBC's successful broadcast of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, its primetime programming returns headlined by the debut of culinary competition RECIPE TO RICHES and the season premieres of hit comedies MR. D and THE RON JAMES SHOW.  Rounding out the robust primetime schedule are all-new episodes of hit CBC series including MURDOCH MYSTERIES, HEARTLAND, THE RICK MERCER REPORT, ARCTIC AIR, DRAGONS' DEN, FOUR ROOMS, GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT, THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES, HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, the fifth estate, MARKETPLACE, THE NATURE OF THINGS and DOC ZONE.

CBC is thrilled to welcome hit culinary competition series RECIPE TO RICHES to its primetime line-up on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT).  Hosted by renowned Canadian actor and food-lover Carlo Rota (Little Mosque on the Prairie, 24) and featuring judges Arlene Dickinson (Dragons' Den), Gail Simmons (Top Chef) and Vikram Vij (chef and restaurateur), the exciting culinary competition follows amateur cooks as they share their original recipes while vying for a chance at the grand prize of $250,000. The finalists' recipes will be available across the country as President`s Choice┬« products, available in select Loblaw banner stores.

Kicking off Monday nights' comedy block is Canadian comedian Gerry Dee's hidden-camera special GERRY DEE: THE SUBSTITUTE on Monday, Feb.24 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT). Follow Gerry as he embeds himself in a real private school in Nova Scotia, posing as an outlandish substitute teacher.  See the reactions of actual students as Gerry engages them in increasingly bizarre and awkward situations, and at the end of his week-long tenure, Gerry reveals himself to the dumbfounded student body.

Mondays are jam-packed with laughs as CBC's MR. D and THE RON JAMES SHOW return with hysterical new seasons. Beginning at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT), school is back in session with the season 3 premiere of MR.D.  It's Gerry Duncan's (Gerry Dee) third year at Xavier Academy and he is more determined than ever to land his dream job as the gym teacher.  He may get his chance, but for now he'll have to continue to fake his way through social studies and all kinds of subjects he knows nothing about.  Amidst a beloved oddball cast of teachers and staff, join MR. D as he struggles to stay one step ahead of his students, continually kicks Jimmy out of class and tries not to put his foot in his mouth.

Can't wait for Monday? Catch the season premiere of MR.D online, available now at http://bit.ly/McKLAKm or tune-in to CBC Television on Sun. Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. ET for a special pre-release of the premiere episode.

Then, at 9:30 p.m. (10 NT) popular sketch comedy series THE RON JAMES SHOW marches into its fifth season; re-vamped with an all-new fast-paced fresh format, stunning new set, and brand new segments. This season, Ron's signature stand-up is punchier than ever, and shot "in the round" before a live studio audience. Hilarious new segments include "Bobby DeNiro's Canada", where the legendary actor (played by Ron) pays tribute to our nation as only he can; as well as "From the Vaults", where film aficionado Elroy Faber affectionately dusts off forgotten gems found in the CBC archives. Each episode will also feature a comedic song, a graphics piece, and new sketches.

Also tune-in to catch brand new episodes of MURDOCH MYSTERIES, HEARTLAND, THE RICK MERCER REPORT, ARCTIC AIR, DRAGONS' DEN, FOUR ROOMS, GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT, THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES, HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, the fifth estate, MARKETPLACE, THE NATURE OF THINGS and DOC ZONE.
