CBC fans from Hamilton, Etobicoke and the GTA have the chance to meet their favourite CBC News, Radio, Sports and Television stars
Join your favourite CBC News, Radio, Sports and Television personalities at Lime Ridge Mall and Sherway Gardens Mall for CBC Live on the Road. From 12 pm - 4 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 (Lime Ridge Mall) and Sunday, January 13, 2013 (Sherway Gardens), fans can come out and meet the stars of CBC.
On both Saturday and Sunday from 12:15 pm - 2 pm, grab an autograph and a photo with the faces of CBC News and CBC Radio. Some of the CBC stars who will participate in CBC Live on the Road include CBC News Network's Heather Hiscox and Reshmi Nair, MARKETPLACE's Tom Harrington and Erica Johnson (Sunday only), CBC RADIO 2 MORNING and DEEP ROOTS host Tom Power, Craig Norris host of THE CRAIG NORRIS HOUR and R3-30 on CBC Radio 3 and LAUGH OUT LOUD on CBC Radio One, and Terry O'Reilly from CBC Radio One's UNDER THE INFLUENCE. On Sunday, come out and meet the CBC NEWS TORONTO team Anne-Marie Mediwake, Dwight Drummond, Claire Martin and METRO MORNING's Matt Galloway.
Then from 2:15 pm - 4pm, fans will get a chance to meet the stars of CBC Television including Arlene Dickinson from DRAGONS' DEN, MR. D's Gerry Dee, HEARTLAND's Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle, Allan Hawco from REPUBLIC OF DOYLE, Yannick Bisson from MURDOCH MYSTERIES, IN THE KITCHEN WITH STEFANO FAITA's Stefano Faita and the new BEST RECIPES EVER host Christine Tizzard. From CBC SPORTS WEEKEND, hosts Scott Russell and Brenda Irving (Saturday only) and CBC's HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, host Ron MacLean (Sunday only). In addition, loveable CBC Sports mascot PETER PUCK and Kids' CBC's MAMMA YAMMA will be on hand throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday greeting fans and posing for photos.
Enjoy the fun activities planned for the entire day including a CBC Live Pop-Up Red Carpet where people can have their picture taken like a CBC star. There will also be a chance for fans to go behind the anchor desk on the CBC News set.
