UPDATE
- Allergy Alert: Undeclared Wheat In Tunnock's
Snowballs Coconut Covered Marshmallow's

The public
warning issued on June 20, 2006, has been
updated to include additional information. The
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning
people with allergies to wheat protein not to
consume Tunnock’s Snowballs Coconut Covered
Marshmallows. The affected product contains wheat
that is not declared on the label.
Tunnock’s Snowballs Coconut
Covered Marshmallows are a product of Scotland.
They are sold in a 100 g package containing four
individually wrapped units. They been sold under
various UPCs. All codes are affected by this alert.
There have been no reported illnesses
associated with this product. Consumption of this
product may cause a serious or life-threatening
reaction in people with allergies to wheat protein.
The product is being recalled from
the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness
of the recall.
