UL warns of potentially hazardous soldering iron

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is warning consumers that a soldering iron ("Soldering iron, model CL-3) manufactured by Shuang Shi Enterprise Company Ltd. may pose a shock or fire hazard.

The securement of the power supply cord connections does not comply with UL's safety requirements, which poses a risk of electric shock and fire hazard to users.

Marked with "6G98," "MODEL CL-3," "E190243" and the UL Listing Mark for the US and Canada.

UL recommends that consumers stop using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase.
