Allergy alert
Undeclared almonds in Sicilian olives stuffed with garlic cloves

Thrifty Foods, Parksville, B.C., is warning customers of an allergy alert concerning Sicilian Olives Stuffed with Garlic Cloves. They were mislabeled and contain olives stuffed with almonds, which are not declared on the label.

The product being recalled is:
Sicilian Olives Stuffed with Garlic Cloves, in various tubbed sizes, UPC code starting with 207390, with the best before date of June 14, 2006 only.

The product has only been distributed in the Parksville, BC area.

Sicilian Olives Stuffed with Garlic Cloves may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to almonds.

Consumers should return this product to any Thrifty Foods for a full refund. There have been no reported illnesses associated with this product.
