UL Warns of Counterfeit
Pride Products Extension Cords

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL)
is notifying consumers that some extension cords
have not been evaluated for safety by UL and bear
a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States. These
cords have undersized conductor wire.
The
cord is green in color. The cord surface is marked:
"(UL) SPT-2 60C 16AWGA2C E187857
181710-001"
The cord has a counterfeit UL holographic
label with the wording:
"E137398
CORD SET
ISSUE NO: BW-5833"
The packaging is marked with a counterfeit
UL Mark and the following:
"PRIDE PRODUCTS CORP.
9ft. Household Extension Cord
13A-125V-1625 W
16/2 SPT-2"
UL recommends that people stop using
these cord sets and return them to the place of
purchase.
