Product Recall
UL warns of potentially hazardous cord set
April 4, 2006

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) and the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) are warning [PDF] customers that a cord set manufactured by MSL Enterprises Corporation may pose a shock and fire hazard. The product does not comply with UL safety requirements.

About 8,000 Power Strip Liberators were manufactured by MSL Enterprises Corporation. The plastic packaging is printed with the following description:

Item #: 121 25550
Length: 14"
Colour: Black
Heavy-duty moulded ends
UL/CSA listed

UL recommends that consumers stop using the product immediately.
