If you do notice any unauthorized charges, call the merchant’s customer service call centre immediately to cancel any ongoing subscriptions.

Try to dispute the charges and resolve the situation with the merchant’s customer service - push for refunds.

Contact the card issuer immediately to dispute the charges.

Make screengrabs and copies of the product websites and free trial offers.

You should also report your experiences to the RCMP’s Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, the Competition Bureau, and/or your local Better Business Bureau at  http://www.bbb.org/.
