Canada's Country Gentleman Tommy Hunter will be playing his last concert ever on Tuesday, March 20th in his hometown of London, Ont., and Marketplace co-host Tom Harrington will be there.

Working on our season finale about scams, we've uncovered a lot about why people fall for them, over and over. And our Marketplace mailbag is full of letters and emails from people who've been ripped off -- sometimes with devastating consequences.
Imagine my surprise when a CBC Vancouver security guard called to tell me a bouquet of flowers had arrived for me.  "Can you open the card, and read it to me?" I asked, wondering who might have sent me flowers: "To One of Our Favourite Corporate Clients," he read.  "From Bloomex." Bloomex? Really? I burst out laughing.
Marketplace's investigation, "Superbugs in the Supermarket" continues to generate a lot of discussion. To date, we've received over 800 of your comments on the Marketplace website, CBC.ca, and on Twitter and our Facebook page.
Over the weekend, Marketplace hosts Erica Johnson and Tom Harrington joined other familiar CBC faces at Toronto's Fairview mall. Fans lined up for autographs, and a number of giveaways. If you were unable to attend, here are a few candid photos from the event.

Award-winning CBC journalist Tom Harrington is joining Erica Johnson as co-host of Marketplace.

"We're thrilled to welcome Tom to Marketplace and look forward to the energy, personality and rigour that he will bring to the show," said Jennifer McGuire, general manager and editor-in-chief, CBC News. "Tom will join with Erica for this coming season of Marketplace's signature brand of investigative consumer journalism."
Earlier this month we updated you on Alan Kippax and the BIM Corporation following a letter he sent to members of his company informing them that he was putting the business on hold indefinitely.

At the time Kippax said he was closing BIM's doors due to plummeting sales, in part blaming the members for sitting on the fence following Marketplace's 2009 story Easy Money. As part of this investigation Marketplace took an inside look at the BIM corporation and spoke with an expert who told us the company looked like a pyramid scheme that would inevitably come to an end.

Alan Kippax is in the headlines again after yet another delay in his dangerous driving case on Thursday. Last February, Marketplace had him in the spotlight for a different reason when we took a closer look at his company Business in Motion or BIM, in our 2009 investigation, "Easy Money."
