Canadian and U.S. authorities have recalled more than two million cribs made by B.C.-based Stork Craft Industries. (Consumer Product Safety Commission)
But the company's response left some people wanting.
A Q & A statement made by Stork Craft CEO Jim Moore didn't include an apology or a comment of regret about the deaths of four infants since 1993.
Neither was there an apology for the major inconvenience to parents now faced with having to figure out where their baby should sleep while they await the repair kit for the recalled Stork Craft products.
"I've seen (the video of) him four times now and every time I watch it I get angry," said Lynn Belanger, the supervisor of North Yonge Infant Nursery and Preschool, located in Toronto.
"There are ways to apologize without putting your head in a noose," she said.
Strong words. Do you agree or disagree? Was the company's response good enough? Tell us what you think!

All the news outlets seem to be ignoring the fact that Stork Craft wasn't the only company making drop-side cribs. Do we know if the deaths were specifically all from Stork Craft cribs, or is the media making assumptions?
I don't wish to minimize any of the tragedy that parents have endured, but...
Has anyone done the math? With four deaths and 15 incidents with over two million cribs used for a span of 17 years, you have to wonder exactly how much the crib is to blame. May I dare to say "very little if not at all"?
I do wish that people would start to share in the responsibility for the care and use of products that probably (you have to realize) will never ever be 100 percent safe. With such a low incident rate with so many sold and used for so long, you have to admit the cribs were made pretty well.
I think anything baby related has to be installed correctly and checked on a regular basis for problems. I've seen parents do the stupidest things and then blame the companies for injuries...like placing a bouncy chair on a table. Using a walker on wheels (which are illegal but parents don't care) in the kitchen near hot stoves. Or leaving a child unattended in a Bumbo chair which is placed on a chair/counter/table. Even better are the parents who use a booster seat at the kitchen table and walk out of the room. They can't understand how their little one managed to tip the chair and smash their heads on the floor. DUH!
Parents need to wake up and take responsibility. I used a StorkCraft crib 9 years ago and noticed the metal parts that hold the mattress in place would become loose every few month due to my son jumping. We would tighten them and added a few things to make it more secure.

All cases of the cribs resulting in injury were documented by the CPSC and HC as being cases where the parents assembled the product incorrectly, continued using the products with obviously broken parts or made homemade repairs rather than ordering the replacement parts from the company.
Yes he should apologize. That is what I believe saved Maple Leaf foods when the listeria outbreak occured. People appreciate when ownership and responsibility is taken. The lack of apology shows a complete lack of remorse and lack of character on the part of Storkcraft. I'm personally involved in this situation with 2 storkcraft cribs at home. In fact, I had to call for help tonight when my 18 month old son got trapped between the crib rails. This was not due to lack of proper installation or related to the recall whatsoever. It is simply another flaw in the cribs built by Storkcraft that allowed my son to become trapped. The panic and pain he experienced is unacceptable. What a terrible feeling to feel helpless as a mother and not be able to help your child. Storkcraft should be providing complete apologies and refunds to all consumers. My mommy claws are out...when you hurt my child you cross the line.
Why would he apologize to people who used his product incorrectly? As he said...the cribs are generally safe unless installed incorrectly or modified. Please stop with the mass hysteria!
