Starlight Investments Statement
The following statement was sent to Marketplace on Nov. 16, 2011, from Starlight Investments:

STATEMENT TO CBC MARKETPLACE

November 16, 2011-- Thank you for your interest in the Canadian residential rental sector and your request for an interview with Starlight Investments.

While we appreciate the opportunity to appear on your television broadcast, we do not feel that the best way to communicate with our residents is through the CBC and your program.

As an asset management company with nearly 6,000 units across the country, we rely on independent, third party property managers to maintain an open and productive dialogue with our residents.

We firmly believe that for this dialogue to be effective it should not occur 'on television', but rather, in the suites, corridors and management offices of our communities across the country, and as such, we will decline the opportunity to participate in your program.

Thank you again for you interest in the sector and in Starlight Investments.

Broadcast Date: January 20, 2012
