They are a bunch of scam artists! They delivered my girlfriends flowers 3 days late and they will not return my calls and emails for a refund. There is no customer service department at Bloomex. It is just an answering machine that nobody checks. Spread the word; Do not use Bloomex!

I ordered the first time from bloomex and addded 5 roses to the original bouquet. They put 4. I called they reimbursed me one rose.I called a second time to order a teddy bear with chocolat. They assured me that they do not deliver if the person is not home. Well my friend found her teddy bear at the door step! I called a third time( I know you think I don't learn eh?)and ordered a bouquet. I mentioned that I wanted to make sure they would not deliver if my friend was not home.I told them the story about my previuos experience and they said it would not happened again.Guess what..my friend found her flowers the next day at her door step. When I called Bloomex to complain, they were rude, told me to read the fine print that their policy is to left your order at the door!!! I won't ever order from them and this is why I am writing a review. To make sure you don't order from them...ever!

Everything must be looked in comparison. Bloomex is way cheaper than any local florist. Is it more reliable? I do not know. Mine orders arrived as ordered. So for me I get for my money more than I would from local florist.

NEVER use Bloomex!!! My husband ordered flowers for me for our anniversary (April 1st) and they were never delivered. We have contacted them many times over the last 13 days (it is now April 13) and no one will contact us back. When you call their customer support number you get a recording saying everyone is busy and to leave them a message. I have left a number of messages and so has my husband, and no one has called us back. I work in customer support and I have to say, if we ever treated our clients this way, we would be out of business. This is unacceptable!!!

They sent the wrong flowers, conveniently already dead, in a smashed vase after the recipient had left for the day. After thirty minutes on the phone they reluctantly reimbursed some of the cost but insisted I pay the delivery fee because that's their policy. Never again!

As a former Bloomex employee, I can attest to the fact that Bloomex never had adequate stock to fill orders and due to constantly cutting corners Bloomex churns out low-end, sloppy work.

Even more importantly, they underpay their staff and allow warehouse managers to treat other staff poorly, including offenses such as wrongful dismissal.

I am so glad to see this story of BLOOMEX getting busted. I too am a very dissatisfied customer who ordered 2 identical floral arrangements to be sent to my mother and my mother in law last Mother's Day. The total cost for both arrangements was over $150. Both arrangements arrived 5 to 7 days AFTER Mothers Day (and only after at least 10 phone calls to complain of non delivery) and both looking nothing like what I ordered both in flower selection and in colors. Both arrangements looked like they had been in the back of a warehouse for a week. Dead, broken and wilted flowers was what was received. I am one of the many customers who complained to the BBB and voiced many complaints to anyone who cared to listen at BLOOMEX to no avail. I also joined the group on Facebook called Beware of BLOOMEX. I hope this story goes far and wide and BLOOMEX goes out of business.

It is better to buy your flowers from the local flower shop down the street.
Flowers are perishable and need to be handled with extreme care from the time they are picked from the plant right through to the time they are delivered to a customer’s door. There are many varieties of flowers often requiring different care. There is a difference when you buy from a web company such as Bloomex and your local flower shop down the street. A trained florist educated in all aspects of flower care is more likely to be found at your neighbourhood florist. Dealing with a local flower shop has many advantages:
- You are more likely to find trained staff (my business partner and I both took college courses in retail floristry and have worked in the industry for over 15 years)
- They are aware of what flowers are in season in their city and able to suggest the best product available (we go to the market ourselves and pick out the flowers we sell)
- There is better quality control (all flowers are cut into a special preservative to increase the longevity of the flowers, a step often missed by mass retailers)
- If you have a problem the local florist will always answer their phone
- They work with local courier services trained in how to handle flowers, you can not expect your flowers to arrive alive when delivered by FedEx or Canada Post especially if they are being shipped overnight.
When looking for a florist online it is always best to make sure the site has a local street address in the city you are sending the flowers to. If you don’t you may run into one of the many floral companies that are simply “order takers”. They collect your order, take a cut of the money and pass it on to a local flower shop. The end result usually being you get less then you paid for. Always investigate before you spend you hard earned money.
Support the small business person, buy local.

I bought a dozen roses for my wife's birthday. Not Valentine's or Mother's Day, just a non busy time in March. I ordered a week in advance and paid extra to ensure on time delivery. They never arrived. I tried several times to call the company regarding the issue, and no one would speak to me. I then called Visa and had the transaction cancelled. Don't bother calling the company, call your credit card provider. If enough people cancel their transactions, they will be forced to improve or go out of business.

I had ordered flowers on Valentines day for my fiancée from 1-800-FLOWERS (not knowing it was Bloomex until they turned up). I had ordered roses that cost just over $100.00 and I ended up getting daises that were dying. When I called (several times)to complain, all I got was an answering service telling me to send pictures of what I received and they would replace them. I got fed up with leaving messages that got returned so I called the order line and got a live person as soon as they heard it was a complaint I got cut off and sent to voice-mail.
I decided at that point to submit the photos as they requested (several times) as I kept getting responses that they could not open the photos.I sent them as jpegs and reduced the size giving the benefit of doubt that the file was too large..I finally gave up. Bloomex is the worst company I have ever dealt with hands down!!!

The show was too quick to jump to conclusions. So what if the flowers were wilted or frozen? It is the thought that counts.

In mid-2009, I ordered two identical bouquets from Bloomex for my staff; one was to be delivered to a different location in West Edmonton and one to be delivered to our sherwood park office. While they did both get their flowers deliverd, only the bouquet deliverd in the west end looked like the on-line picture; the other one was only about 1/4 of the size. We put the two bouquets side-by-side the next day and sent in a photo of them to bloomex customer service. I was told that they could not always be sure that the flowers were consistent...and would not refund my money for the mini-bouquet. As a business, I order a lot of flower bouquets, and they lost my business permanently.
