Dr. Yoni Freedhoff is a medical doctor and director of a weight management centre in Ottawa.

He graduated from the University of Toronto and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is recognized as a national obesity expert by the Canadian Obesity Network, and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, the Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons, the Obesity Society, the Center for Science in the Public Interest as well as the Canadian College of Family Physicians. Dr. Yoni Freedhoff is an advocate the regulation of the weight loss industry in Canada.

He is also an advocated for the regulation of the weight loss industry.
