New Drunk Driving Law in NS, Pesticide Ban + Recipe to Kill Creeping Charlie, NHL Legend Darryl Sittler in NB

NS becomes the first province in the Maritimes, and the second in Canada, to introduce tougher penalties for drunk drivers caught with kids in the car. NS follows NB and PEI and bans the sale and use of pesticides. We take your questions on going chemical-free in the backyard. Plus, NHL legend Darryl Sittler chats with us on his way to a Bantaam AAA tournament in Quispamsis, NB.


  1. Dilute 285 grams of Borax in 1 cup of warm water.
  2. Dilute that mixture with water until you have 10 litres.
  3. Apply that over 100 square metres... voila!
  4. Do this in June, when the plants are rapidly growing.

CAUTION: To avoid killing your grass as well, do not apply more than once a year and no more than two years in a row.
