Tory MLA Karen Casey (right) has resigned from the Progressive Conservative party to join the Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus at the invitation of leader Stephen McNeil (left).

Liberal MP Scott Brison knows all too well what recently minted Liberal MLA Karen Casey is going through. Brison walked away from the Conservative party years ago. He's been re-elected several times, in his home riding, under the Liberal party banner. In light of Casey's move, Brison looks back on his own decision to jump ship.
