December 21, 2009 1:51 PMAs computer users, we're used to windows that pop up on our screens when we log in. Sometimes they contain frivolous information. Other times they alert you to significant changes to the website you're visiting. That's what's been greeting people who've been logging into Facebook lately. The company is introducing changes it says is meant to give users control over their privacy. But Sunny Marriner sees a potential downside. Last week record librarian and musician Margaret Isaacs joined us to share some of her favourite Christmas music, and many of you called in to share yours. During that show, several people mentioned a few lesser known pieces, including Star of the East. Clare Morris told us it was a carol arranged by Jack Reid when he worked at CKCW in Moncton in the 50's and 60's and sung by the "Westmorland Singers"comprised of Dorothy Hayes, Jean Elder, Mildred Neal, Martha Harris, Helen Steeves and Erna MacManus with Ruth Buchanan at the piano.
On the phone in Rosemary Beckett, brought in a seasonal tickle trunk filled with mementos and treasures from days past and took all your questions about antiques and collectibles.
