For the better part of twenty years, Chalmers Doane was an influential - and succesful - music educator in Halifax.
He developed a program using ukeleles to teach kids music that spread across the country.
James Hill was one of the kids who learned the Chalmers Doane method - in his hometown of Langley, BC.
Now widely regarded as one of the best ukelele players in the world, Hill has moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to Doane...and together they're working on bringing the ukelele to even more kids.
The CBC's Jack Julian brings us the story of their unique friendship.
