The Space Between
No matter how hard polticians try to get their message across, and no matter how much voters want someone to believe in, it seems the gap between the two is widening.
Voter turn-out in the last several elections has been very low, and as we heard last week, young people in particular are not interested in politics.
Even the idea that our leaders can be trusted to always deliver on their promises seems somewhat naive.
So what does this gap between the leaders and the led mean for our democracy?
That's the focus of Vanessa Blanch's documentary this week.
