We're all familiar with the idea of organ donation; many of us have even signed the card, and then put it out of our minds.
However the idea of giving your entire body to science probably isn't something you've thought about too much.
Medical schools and their students rely on people doing just that.
After all, a fundamental part of a would-be doctor's training involves dissecting human bodies.
In another era, those bodies would have been unclaimed cadavers: often destitute people or even bodies stolen from graveyards.
Today though, people will their bodies to science.
Maritime Magazine host Pauline Dakin spent some time looking into this idea for the program the Current.
