Imagine leaving your crutches or wheelchair behind and flying along ice for the first time.
That's what the sport of "sledge hockey" offers children and adults with disabilities.
Hockey Canada has been holding demonstrations across the Maritimes, to build interest in the sport, and Charlottetown recently played host to the World Sledge Hockey Challenge.
In this week's story CBC reporter Pam Berman tells us about the first team in the region to be sponsored by minor hockey.
