Saint John's Historic Synagogue
A controversial bit of development has been making headlines in Saint John this year.
The North of Union Street project will see some of the city's most valuable real estate turned into a courthouse and police complex.
It's controversial because of what's being sold to make way for the massive development...some of the city's oldest and most graceful buildings.
One of those is the spiritual home of Saint John's Jewish community; in fact this was the last Passover Jews in Saint John will mark in their historic synagogue.
The building has been sold, and will likely be demolished.
Freelance broadcaster Bojan Fuerst takes us inside the synagogue this week, and introduces us to a community still holding tight to its traditions.
