There are people who become the social conscience of their times. They step outside of convention and take personal risks. They are pathfinders for the rest of us.
For more than five decades, John Eldon Green has beenblazing that trail on Prince Edward Island.
He has been a Catholic reformer, and an an inter-faith advocate. He has been a social worker, a Deputy Minister, and a private consultant.
Now he's 80. And he's published his memoirs. Freelancer Andrea Simpson met Green talk over some of the changes he's witnessed in his province and its people. She prepared a documentary named after his book "A Mind of One's Own".
