Headfirst

Tracadie Beach is considered one of the best on Prince Edward Island.
Unlike most beaches on PEI's North Shore, you don't have to wade through shallow water to swim.
At Tracadie, swimmers simply dive from the white sand into the deep channel.
That's what 23-year old Stephen Brousseau was doing last August, when he hit something in the water.
In an instant his life changed forever and he became a quadraplegic.
His wife Melissa also saw her life altered in an instant, and not the least of the questions facing the young couple is how they will manage their farm near Cardigan.
Melissa is a journalism student at Holland College in Charlottetown, and an intern at CBC Radio.
She takes us back to Tracadie Beach in her documentary, Headfirst.
