Three "Annes": Jennifer Toulmin, Gracie Finlay and Jamie Ray
In July 2004, the Charlottetown Festival celebrated Anne's 40th birthday with a reunion of cast, crew, directors and the show's co-creators. It was a who's who of Canadian show business. During the reunion, Reg "Dutch" Thompson brought the group together to record some of their memories of the early years at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Anne of Green Gables - The Musical was created in June 1965 for the Charlottetown Festival, based on an earlier CBC Television special.
Thompson is a popular historian on PEI, and he's also been part of the crew at the Centre since 1969. No one had heard the tape he collected, until it aired here on Maritime Magazine.
