March to the Top is a feature-length documentary about the challenges faced by twelve Canadian wounded vets as they struggle to the summit of Island Peak, a mountain near Everest in the Himalayas. The vets are climbing this 20,305 ft. high mountain as part of their recovery from the injuries they suffered while on war duty and to help support other battle-scarred soldiers regain independence and fulfilling lives. The documentary follows the soldiers as they train in the Canadian Rockies, as they arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal, as they set out for the month-long trek up to Everest base camp and finally the attempt of Island Peak itself.
Airing Sunday February 17 on the documentary channel.
