Daryl Reid (NDP)
This riding has existed since the 1969 election. It has been NDP since then, with the exception of the 1988 riding. The city limits form the northern, eastern and southern boundaries of this northeast Winnipeg riding. The western boundary is Plessis Rd./Pandora/Hoka/CNR Pine Falls branch and the spur line. The CN yards are in the riding.
The population was 19,175 in 2001. The average family income was 59,529 with an unemployment rate of 5.6 per cent. The population is mostly working class. The main industry was manufacturing (15%) followed by retail (13%).
