Theresa Oswald (NDP)Oswald is the minister of health.
This riding was created in 1990. It's in the southeast part of Winnipeg, between the Red River to the west and the Seine River/city limits to the east, and between Novavista/Vista to the north and the city limits to the south. The riding contains large urban and rural areas within the city limits. It encompasses a large portion of St. Vital, with a more rural atmosphere south of the Perimeter Highway.The population in 2001 was 21,275. The average family income was $78,070, with an unemployment rate of 4.1 per cent. The main industry was health and social services (13.8%) followed by retail (11.9%).
