Riding Profile:

This riding has existed since the 1886 election. It has been PC since 1958. The riding is in southern Manitoba, south and west of Winnipeg. Morris and St. Malo are the largest communities in the riding. Other communities in this riding include Otterburne, Rosemont, St. Claude, St. Francois Xavier and St. Pierre-Jolys.

The population in 2001 was 20,800. The average family income was $66,064, with an unemployment rate of 3.4 per cent. Agriculture was the major industry (19.7%) followed by manufacturing (10%).
