Riding Profile:This riding was created in 1999. The central Winnipeg riding is bounded by the Red River in the east and south. The rest of the southern boundary is Jubilee/CNR line. The riding runs north on Cambridge to Fleet, along Fleet to Stafford, Stafford to Corydon and east along Corydon/Mulvey back to the Red River. The population in 2001 was 20,440. The average family income was $54,683, with an unemployment rate of 6.7 per cent. The major industry was health and social services (13.4%) followed by manufacturing (10.5%). |
