Gary Doer (NDP)
The riding has existed since 1981 and it has always been NDP. It's in the northeast part of Winnipeg, bounded by Dunrobin/Antrim Road to the north, Molson/Panet to the east; Thomas/Tyne to the south and Watt Street to the west.The population in 2001 was 19,975. The average family income was $45,914, with an unemployment rate of 6.4 per cent. The major industry was manufacturing (20%) followed by health and social services (11%).

|1988||Doer was elected leader of the NDP party in Manitoba and defeated LIB Barbara Blomeley by 754 votes.|
|1986||Doer defeated PC Brent Aubertin by 1,841 votes.|
|1981||Peter Fox, elected in Kildonan in 1969, 1973, and 1977, ran in this new riding and defeated PC Scotty McVicar by 2,747 votes.|
