Myrna Driedger (PC)
The riding has existed since 1969 and has always been PC. The riding is in the western corner of Winnipeg, south of the Assiniboine River and north of the city limits, and between the city limits to the west and Laxdall/Elmhurst/CN Line/McCreary Road to the east. It is an urban neighbourhood surrounded by forests and fields. Is it comprised mostly of middle- and upper-middle-class families.The population in 2001 was 19,765. The average family income was $88,100, with an unemployment rate of 2.7 per cent. The major industry was retail (13%) followed by health and social services (10%).

|1973||PC Arthur Moug defeated NDP R. N. Benson by 2,626 votes.|
