Low voter turn-out Over the last 3-4 days much of my conversation with other people
focused on the huge poll results published in the newspaper. These
horrible election turnoffs put out by the media should NOT be
allowed. Arguments can be made on both sides. Did the voters stay
away because they thought their party was a shoe in and thus creating
apathy, or did the voters stay away because their party had no
chance what so ever! Voters should have the big say in election
results - not polls. We need to focus on ways of enticing voters
to come out and vote. Not ways of influencing them to stay away. |
