Ron James appears at Pantages
He's known as the funniest person in Canada. The fourth season of the hugely popular The Ron James Show launches on New Year's Eve.
The Nova Scotia native is currently on the road touring Canada so SCENE asked him to pull over for a few minutes to answer five fast questions.
How does it feel to be called the funniest person in Canada?
It's a nice compliment but if I let it make me cocky, I'd be the biggest tool in Canada in a hurry!
Who's your favourite comic and why?
I don't have one favourite but comedians who make me laugh are the progressive thinkers making original, brave observations with intelligence and heart.
What's the best thing about touring?
Conversations with people who give you a 'window on their world.'
What's the worst thing about touring?
Humping my luggage in and out of dry hotels after long drives on the widow-making highways of a Canadian winter.
How do you keep fit these days?
I
row 30 minutes every day on my Concept 2 Rower...30 minutes on an
elliptical machine 3 days a week and I lift weights three days a week.
Ron James appears at Pantages Playhouse on Dec. 8 and the Western Manitoba Centennial Audtorium in Brandon on Dec. 9.
