Winnipeg actor Toby Hughes plays Henry V in Shakespeare In The Ruins production of Shakespeare's "Henry V" (SITR)
After 10 years away, Shakespeare in the Ruins is going home.
The theatre company, celebrating their 19th season, will perform again at the Trappist Monastery Ruins in St. Norbert this spring.
Artistic director Kevin Klassen says the province has worked to improve drainage and make the site safe.
Klassen can't wait to get back to the 'stage' where it all started.
"As happy as we are with the work that we've done in our various locations since we've been at the ruins there's just such a range and no other place offers the ruins themselves you know that kind of classical kind of structure."
Klassen says they are also investing in mosquito magnets to try and bring down the number of skeeters at the site.
Shakepeare in the Ruins will perform Henry V this spring. The show opens May 31 and runs to June 23.
