Let's face it, sometimes our cold, dark winters can bring you down.
While the weather has been pretty good to us so far, it doesn't mean Old
Man Winter won't keep knocking.
That's why SCENE and the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre have teamed up to look for some sage advice on how to beat the February blues.
And in return for your pithy suggestions, you will have a chance to win one ridiculously sweet prize package that is guaranteed to make February feel balmy.
By the end of next week you could be holding a pair of tickets to the mainstage for The Fighting Days (Feb. 9 - March 3) by Wendy Lil, this season's homegrown drama about women getting the right to vote, God of Carnage (March 15 - April 7) by Yasmina Reza, the hilariously dark play about two couples trying to make right their kids playground fight (it has recently been turned into a film by Roman Polanski) and Next to Normal (April 19 - May 12) the brave Broadway play about a family facing mental illness with music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey.
But it doesn't stop there. You also get at the MTC warehouse August:Osage County by Tracy Letts (March 8 - 24) about a pill popping mom and Blind Date (April 5 - 21), where a sexy Parisian temptress will bring an audience member on a blind date, presented by Kevin McCollum and Rebecca Northan.
And there is more. All the details are on our contest page.
